A Province is an internal division of an autonomous national (or multi-national) church of the Anglican Communion. There are nine provinces in the Episcopal Church, including oversears jurisdictions. See our Glossary of Terms for more information. 

The list of values only includes Provinces represented in our catalog. This list will expand as the catalog expands.

Province II - comprised of the six dioceses of the state of New York, the two dioceses of the state of New Jersey, La Iglesia Episcopal en Cuba (the Episcopal Church in Cuba), l’Église Épiscopale d’Haïti (the Episcopal Church of Haiti), Iglesia Episcopal Diócesis de Puerto Rico (the Episcopal Church Diocese of Puerto Rico), the Diocese of the Virgin Islands, and the Convocation of American Churches in Europe. 

Province III - comprised of thirteen Episcopal dioceses in the states of Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia, and the District of Columbia.

Province IV - the largest of the Episcopal provinces, comprised of twenty dioceses in nine Southeastern states. This province is also called “the Province of Sewanee,” after the School of Theology of the University of the South, located in Sewanee, Tennessee.
